100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

By Megs
I read about this eye cream here on The Paraben Free Princess. And I knew I had to try it. I was "eyeing" it (ha! see what I did there!?) on ebeauty.ca and missed out; they sold out. So I went to the source, 100% Pure's own site and did some window shopping that quickly turned into shopping shopping. I bought the eye cream (obviously; since that's what this review is about) and also needed a new serum so I ordered one. And bonus! I got a free, full sized body scrub, which I will review another time. The downer was that I ordered my eye cream and serum, got the confirmation email, and then got an email from 100% Pure saying they were sold out of the serum. Rather than refunding my money, they kept it as a credit for me to use on the site...and it was very easy for me to find something else there I wanted (the brightening night balm). They also gave me free shipping on both orders, yay!

100% Pure is vegan, and their "products do not contain any synthetic chemicals, parabens, sulfates or harsh detergents, artificial fragrances or colors, phthalates."

So I got my eye cream. It smells good enough to eat. Seriously, it smells like some sort of decadent coffee-flavoured dessert. It is such a treat to put on my face. The first time I used it I was contorting my face all sorts of odd ways, trying to get one more, and just one more whiff of deliciousness. Then I realised I was probably creating more fine lines by doing the face yoga than I was preventing with the cream so I stopped.

I have bags under my eyes. I don't know if it's genetic, or just the way my face is. We don't get under eye circles just from lack of sleep although they certainly are more pronounced in appearance after a late night - mine are, anyway. A few different factors can cause them, including, according to the Mayo Clinic's site congestion, heredity and allergies among other things. This product de-puffs my under-eye bags. It absolutely does. I can't say I've noticed a brightening of the circles yet but I've only been using this for a week or so.

If you have heard of 100% Pure and have been wanting to try their products, do it. This cream alone is so wonderful, I can say that I will always keep it in my beauty arsenal from now on. I have 2 more reviews of 100% Pure items coming up and I really cannot say enough good things about this brand.

Have you tried 100% Pure before? Let me know if you decide to order from their site.

  2. Nice enough location but parking and mess makes it a downer. Staff are friendly and helpful but outside area is filthy with dirty tables, napkins scattered flying around in the ground and chairs precariously positioned. coffee beans
